Development requirements
Minimum hardware prerequisites
- Processor: 2 GHz dual core processor (64 bit recommended) or faster
- 4 GB RAM
- Hard disk: 20-50 GB free space (required by Visual Studio 2017)
- Please note that this is in addition to the free disk space needed for the operating system.
Software prerequisites
Before installing the LS One components please make sure that you have administrative privileges on the computer where you plan to install the application. In order for the programs to operate, the following software prerequisites must be met:
- Any of the following operating systems:
- Windows 7 SP1 (with latest Windows Updates)
- Windows 8.1 (with Update 2919355)
- Windows 10 version 1507 or higher
- Windows 2012 R2 (with Update 2919355)
Windows Server 2016
- Required frameworks:
- .NET Framework 4.7.1 (Required for LSOne)
- Windows Installer 4.5 (Required for SQL Server 2014)
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2017
- SQL Server 2014 (full, developer or express edition)
- Optional: DevExpress UI 3rd party components, ver 15.1
Development environment
The LS One suite is developed in Visual Studio 2017 using .NET framework 4.7.1 and SQL Express 2014.
In the LS One POS the default peripherals functionality is to use the OPOS layer to communicate with all peripherals. Some of the user interface is created using the third-party components DevExpress v. 2015. If any dialogs are to be customized or changed (other than translations) a DevExpress license is needed.
