DD service

The DD service is used by both the LS One POS and the Site Manager to start Data Director scheduler jobs. The DD scheduler and the Data Director itself actually run the jobs but this service allows both the POS and the Site Manager to schedule jobs.

Configurations

To make the POS automatically schedule a job to move the current sale to head office some configurations are necessary on the functionality profile.

Main functionality

 

Name	Description
RunJobUnsecure	Is used by the LS One Express version of the POS
ReadDesign	Reads the database design so that the Data director can run the scheduler jobs. Is used by the LS One Express version of the POS
RunJob	Runs the Data director scheduler job that was selected as a parameter on the POS button
RunPostTransactionJob	Runs the Post Transaction Job configured on the functionality profile. This is called when a transaction is concluded on the POS.

Only one operation in the POS directly calls the DD service.
